Understanding The New Words Press Author-Assisted Publishing Program
As a small press publisher, New Voices Publishing is limited in the number of new titles we can publish in a year. And most of the titles we do select or develop, fall within a certain market framework of our parent company, KidsTerrain, Inc.

Still, we recognize that there are many new voices out there yearning to be heard. And we are quite aware of the pitfalls of self-publishing. Self-published books are often suspect in the minds of reviewers, bookstores, and readers because the work has not gone through a publisher's screening process.

What We Offer Prospective Authors
New Words Press is neither a vanity press nor a subsidy press. Like our traditional division, New Voices Publishing, our acquisitions editors screen books for quality and/or marketability, and therefore reject most submissions. Although the publishing costs are borne by the author, we maintain a certain standard for books published under our imprint.

You Pay For The Services, Therefore We Believe You Deserve The Profits

• Once we move the book through the publishing process for you, the rest is up to you. You warehouse, distribute, and fulfill your book orders. And you retain the profits.
• We create a web page about your book on our web site. We link all orders to your private web page or fulfillment office. There is no fee to us.
• If we sell copies of your book through our online store or sales associate program, you pay us a small royalty, not vice versa.
• We do not retain any exclusive rights to your book.
