WILMINGTON, MA - September 25, 2007 KidsTerrain Inc., a Wilmington-based resource company for families, the workplace, and schools, has named Anne Ide as its Director of Business Development. Ms. Ide is responsible for directing the sales and marketing programs of KidsTerrain's multimedia resources and products available to employees, employers, schools and parent/teacher organizations, and parents; identifying potential business partners and negotiating agreements; and building public and community relations.
    "Ms. Ide, a Charlton, MA resident, has extensive experience in the sales and marketing of print, video, and telecommunications products and services. Her business expertise and acumen, however, stretches well-beyond sales and marketing. Ms. Ide can accurately be described as a "Mother of Invention."
    In 1983, motherhood prompted a "good idea for a desperately needed product," said Ms. Ide. The invention of the Comfy Wipe Warmer in 1988 was a huge success for Ms. Ide, selling over 20,000 units its first year and quickly growing to a multi-million dollar product. One year later, Ms. Ide licensed the Comfy Wipe Warmer to another manufacturer.
    She continued to invent products and hold invention seminars for "would be" inventors. In 1996, the company that licensed Comfy Wipe Warmer went out of business leaving Ms. Ide with the task of re-creating her company under the Comfy Kids name. With sheer determination, Ms. Ide re-launched in 1997 a new and improved wipe warmer. The product steadily recaptured the wipe warmer market.
